About Rabbi Goldberg
A mohel raised in the mesorah
Born into a distinguished family of mohalim, trained by masters of the craft, and trusted by hundreds of families across the tri-state area and beyond.
From a family of mohalim
Rabbi Shaima Goldberg was born into a distinguished family of mohalim and spent the first 25 years of his life in Lakewood, New Jersey. From a young age, he developed a deep interest in bris milah, inspired by his great uncle, Rabbi Mordechai Zimmerman z"l, one of the most renowned and sought-after mohalim of his time.
Under Rabbi Zimmerman's guidance, Rabbi Goldberg was advised to observe the work of numerous experienced mohalim and attend hundreds of brissim, learning best practices and developing the method that suited him best. He then had the privilege of accompanying Rabbi Zimmerman to observe and discuss his techniques in depth, comparing and refining methods along the way.
To gain hands-on experience, he traveled multiple times to Dallas, Texas, to train under Rabbi Michoel Rovinsky of St. Louis, a student of Rabbi Moshe Rappaport of Baltimore, who was a very close disciple of the legendary Yerushalmi mohel, Rabbi Yossele Weisberg.

Active in the field since 2002, Rabbi Goldberg has also trained and mentored approximately ten aspiring mohalim, and regularly consults with colleagues to ensure adherence to the highest standards of technique and care.
What sets Rabbi Goldberg apart is his combination of expertise, patience, and personal attention. He gives each family the time, gentle care, and thorough explanations they deserve, from the first phone call through the follow-up visits after the bris.
Every bris is performed al taharas hakodesh, according to the highest halacha standards.
